Virat Kohli vs Babar Azam: Bhajji & Akhter have their say – “Virat Kohli is established, while Babar…”

Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are two of the most prolific batsmen in world cricket today. Both players have been in excellent form in recent years, and they are constantly competing for the title of best batsman in the world.

Kohli is a more aggressive batsman who likes to take on the bowling from the outset. He is not afraid to take risks and is always looking to score runs. Azam, on the other hand, is a more patient batsman who likes to build his innings slowly. He is not as aggressive as Kohli, but he is more reliable and less likely to get out cheaply.

Kohli’s approach has been more successful in ODI cricket, where he has a batting average of 59.07 and has scored 43 centuries. Azam, on the other hand, has been more successful in T20I cricket, where he has a batting average of 52.82 and has scored 18 centuries.

Recently in one of his Youtube videos, Harbhajan Singh shared his opinion about people comparing Babar with Kohli:

“Virat Kohli has established himself as a great, while Babar Azam still has a lot to do. He will reach there someday, as he is a wonderful player. He is very good in Test cricket, but maybe T20 doesn’t suit him a lot,” Bhajji mentioned on his YouTube channel.

His thoughts on the matter were echoed by former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar on his YouTube channel who also shared similar views on Kohli vs Babar comparison. The Rawalpindi Express mentioned Babar’s efforts in improving his game in the shortest format and also slammed critics for being too hard on him.

“Virat Kohli is the greatest, and Babar Azam is in the making to be the greatest batsman ever. He is trying to get better in T20s. People are behind him for no reason,” Akhtar added.

Overall, Kohli and Azam are two of the best batsmen in the world today. They are both technically gifted and they have a wide range of shots. However, they have different styles of batting and they are more successful in different formats of cricket. It will be interesting to see how their careers pan out in the coming years.
