Man Utd produced a remarkable comeback to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in the Premier League on Saturday.
The visitors took a shock early lead through Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly, but Christian Eriksen pulled one back before half-time. Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes then scored in the second half to seal the win for United, who had been under pressure after two disappointing results in their opening two games of the season.
The victory will be a huge boost for Erik ten Hag’s side, who are still looking to find their feet under the new manager. It was a game of two halves at Old Trafford, with Forest taking a deserved lead in the opening four minutes.
Awoniyi latched onto a loose ball in the United penalty area and fired past David de Gea, before Boly doubled the visitors’ advantage moments later with a header from a corner.
United responded well and pulled one back through Eriksen in the 29th minute. The Danish midfielder cut in from the left and fired a low shot into the corner, giving Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba no chance.

Fernandes then sealed the win in the 72nd minute with a penalty, after he was brought down by Djed Spence. The victory was a much-needed one for United, who had been under pressure after their opening two games of the season.
They will now be looking to build on this result and get their season back on track.
Here are some of the key talking points from the game:
- United’s comeback was remarkable. They were two goals down after four minutes, but they showed great character and determination to come back and win the game.
- Eriksen was the star of the show. He scored one goal and created another, and he was a constant threat to the Forest defense.
- Casemiro was also excellent. He scored a brilliant goal and he was solid in midfield.
- United’s defense still needs work. They were caught out twice in the first half and they need to be more solid if they want to challenge for the top four this season.
Overall, it was a great win for United and it will give them a lot of confidence going into their next game against Wolves.
