In a recent interview with Spanish website Vandal, Bethesda Softworks’ Head of Publishing Pete Hines confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is now in active development.
Hines said that there are teams actively working on the game, but that Starfield is still the studio’s main focus.
“Starfield is our focus for now, and it’s going to remain our priority for a while before we talk about anything else,” Hines said. “But The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development, and we’re making good progress.”
This is the first time that Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is in active development. The game was first announced in 2018, but there has been little news about it since then.
Hines did not provide any specific details about The Elder Scrolls 6, such as its setting or release date. However, he did say that the game will be “bigger and better” than Skyrim.

“We’re not going to make the same game again,” Hines said. “We’re going to make something that’s even better.”
The Elder Scrolls 6 is expected to be released for PC and Xbox Series X/S. It is currently in early development, so it is likely to be several years before the game is released.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to Starfield, which is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2022. Starfield is Bethesda’s first new IP in over 25 years, and it is an ambitious open-world sci-fi RPG.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time, and fans are eagerly awaiting more news about it. Hopefully, Bethesda will share more details about the game soon.
