Overwatch: Rise of Darkness Season 7 Brings Trials of Sanctuary, Mythic Skin and Hero Rework

Overwatch 2’s Season 7 is here, bringing with it a new Mythic skin, a new game mode, and a hero rework.

The Mythic skin for this season is Onryō Hanzo, which is inspired by the Japanese horror film Ringu. The skin features a new model, voice lines, and weapon effects.

The new game mode for Season 7 is Trials of Sanctuary, which is a cooperative PvE mode set in the Diablo universe. In this mode, players will team up to battle through waves of enemies from Diablo, including bosses like Diablo himself.

The hero rework for Season 7 is Sombra, who is receiving a number of changes to her abilities. Her Translocator ability now has a shorter cooldown and can be used to teleport to any location, rather than just to her previous location. Her Hack ability now has a longer range and can be used to hack enemies through walls. Additionally, her Invisibility ability now lasts longer and can be used to recharge her other abilities.

  • A new competitive season

Overwatch 2 Season 7 is now available on all platforms.

Here is a more detailed look at each of the new features in Season 7:

Onryō Hanzo Mythic Skin

The Onryō Hanzo Mythic skin is the first of its kind in Overwatch 2. Mythic skins are the most customizable skins in the game, and Onryō Hanzo is no exception. Players can customize the skin’s color, effects, and even the sound of his bowstring.

Trials of Sanctuary Game Mode

Trials of Sanctuary is a cooperative PvE mode set in the Diablo universe. In this mode, players will team up to battle through waves of enemies from Diablo, including bosses like Diablo himself.

To succeed in Trials of Sanctuary, players will need to work together and use their abilities strategically. The mode also features a number of unique challenges, such as killing a certain number of enemies in a certain amount of time or surviving a wave of enemies without taking any damage.

Sombra Rework

Sombra is receiving a number of changes to her abilities in Season 7.

These changes make Sombra a more versatile and deadly hero. She can now more easily flank enemies and hack them from a distance, and her Invisibility ability allows her to escape from danger or reposition herself quickly.
