IND vs WI 2023: Trying to find the confidence, in order to claim the knowledge of India’s Playing 11 at any given point is as probable as the possibility of finding out that in the middle of every Black hole is a guy with a flashlight looking for the circuit breaker. But we shall try.
IND vs WI 2023 Preview:
India lost to Australia in the World Test Championship final and the whole country lost their minds. Quite presumably, majority of the pseudo speculators blamed it on the IPL, or rather T20 cricket to be specific. It’s one of the oldest games with one of the lengthiest formats, yet we as a country of cricket worshipers seem to have a short attention span. Sometimes we have abandoned and/or submitted to players in a matter of overs just because they were not perfect. Just because they were all humans.
Anyway, India is headed to Caribbean islands for two Test matches, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and T20 Internationals, and big surprise everyone in the country wanted to weigh in as to who should be going. So, when it was announced that Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Shami and Jasprit Bumrah are not included in the test squad for West Indies, everyone started asking why, but no one was ready to accept any other opinion as usual.
The series starts with a test match at Windsor Park in Dominica. The BCCI put out the official test squad on Friday, June 23. A couple of fresh faces are to be seen. India’s would also be looking to kick start the World Test Championship 2023–25 campaign with the 1st Test match. This series will be important for Rohit Sharma and his team, and for the fans who need something to water down the recent defeat.

IND vs WI 2023: India’s Test Playing 11:
IND vs WI Top Order:
The skipper Rohit Sharma will be opening for sure with Shubman Gill. They both have their own thing going on, and with a youngster at one end and a Veteran on the other, the opposition bowlers will have a tough time with the consistency given Sharma’s and Gill’s complete contrast in batting style. Interestingly, Cheteshwar Pujara has been dropped and two new faces- Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Jaiswal are added to the squad. Out of these two Yashasvi Jaiswal seems like a good pick for going next.
IND vs WI Middle Order:
The keyword for India’s middle order is King Kohli. All be it with a bit of a rough patch around hid hut as of now. Come Back of Ajinkya Rahane is also quite enticing and may well be the key to a great middle order save at some point. Ravindra Jadeja will be after him for some more experience in the punch followed by KS Bharat or Ishan Kishan depending on priorities.
IND vs WI Bowlers:
After all that happened between this series and the WTC Final, I think its safe to say that Ravichandran Ashwin will be coming into action, and I would not be surprised if he ends up demonstrating one of his bowling spells to prove a point. Shardul Thakur could be the key pacer with Mohammad Siraj on the other side. Finally, when it comes to Mukesh Kumar and Jaydev Unadkat, the former seems to have a better chance of getting a chance.
