Ashes 2023: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 15-member squad for the third Test of the ongoing Ashes series against Australia. The match will be played at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds from July 6 to 10.
The squad includes all of the players who featured in the first two Tests, with the exception of Jonny Bairstow, who has been ruled out of the third Test due to a fractured finger. Bairstow will be replaced by Ben Duckett, who has been in good form for Nottinghamshire in recent weeks.

Australia defeated England by 43 runs in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s on Tuesday, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. England captain Ben Stokes scored a brilliant 155 but his side were unable to chase down Australia’s total of 361. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, taking 5 wickets for 53 runs. The third Test will be played at Headingley from July 8-12.
The third Test is a must-win for England, who are currently trailing the series 2-0. Headingley is a ground where England have traditionally performed well, and they will be hoping to use that home advantage to level the series.
