Pat Cummins Likely To Miss India Tour Due To Suspected Broken Wrist.

Pat Cummins: Australia captain Pat Cummins is reportedly facing a race against time to be fit for the upcoming ODI series against India. Cummins injured his wrist during the final Ashes Test against England at the Oval, and it is believed that he may have fractured the joint.

Cummins played the remainder of the Test with a heavily-strapped wrist, but he was clearly in discomfort while batting. He was also unable to bowl as fast as he would have liked, and his wicket-taking ability suffered as a result.

Cricket Australia has not yet released an official statement on Cummins’ injury, but it is understood that he will undergo further scans in the coming days. If the scans confirm that he has fractured his wrist, Cummins is likely to be ruled out of the ODI series.

The ODI series against India is scheduled to begin on September 22, and it is a crucial part of Australia’s preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup, which will be held in India later this year. Cummins is Australia’s leading fast bowler, and his absence would be a major blow to the team’s chances of success.

Cummins has a history of injuries, and he has missed several important matches in recent years. However, he has always managed to come back stronger, and he will be hoping that he can do the same this time around.

Update (August 5, 2023): Cricket Australia has confirmed that Cummins has suffered a fractured wrist, and he will be ruled out of the ODI series against India. Cummins is expected to be sidelined for six weeks, which means that he will also miss the start of the T20I series against India.

Cummins’ injury is a major blow to Australia, but the team has a number of other quality fast bowlers who can step up in his absence. Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Jhye Richardson are all capable of taking wickets, and they will be eager to prove their worth in Cummins’ absence.

Australia will need to be at their best to beat India in the upcoming ODI series, but they will still be confident of success with their experienced bowling attack. Cummins’ injury is a setback, but Australia will not be giving up without a fight.
