NFL announced on Thursday that it will be making a significant change to NFL RedZone for the 2023 season. The popular channel, which provides live look-ins at every NFL game on Sunday afternoons, will now be available exclusively through the NFL’s streaming service, NFL+.
This is a major change for NFL RedZone, which has been available on cable and satellite TV for years. However, the NFL has been increasingly looking to move its content to streaming platforms in recent years. In 2022, the NFL launched NFL+, which provides fans with access to live games, replays, and other content. The addition of NFL RedZone to NFL+ is a major coup for the service, and it will likely make it a more attractive option for fans.
The NFL+ premium subscription plan, which costs $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year, will now include NFL RedZone. The standard NFL+ plan, which costs $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year, will not include NFL RedZone.
NFL RedZone will also be available as a standalone subscription for $10 per month or $80 per year. This subscription will not include any other NFL content, such as live games or replays.

The NFL is also making some changes to NFL RedZone itself for the 2023 season. The channel will now be hosted by Scott Hanson and Greg Olsen. Hanson has been the host of NFL RedZone since its inception in 2009, while Olsen is a former NFL player who has been working as a broadcaster since 2017.
The NFL is also adding a new feature to NFL RedZone called “RedZone Rush.” This feature will allow fans to watch live look-ins at games that are close or that have just started.
The changes to NFL RedZone are a sign of the NFL’s continued embrace of streaming. The league is betting that fans will be willing to pay for the convenience of watching NFL RedZone on demand. The addition of NFL RedZone to NFL+ is a major coup for the service, and it will likely make it a more attractive option for fans.
